Bender30 Extends Center Pivot Acres
Valley Irrigation displayed the new Bender30 option on a full size 8000 series pivot at a recent farm show in Iowa.
The Valley Bender30 option increases the number of acres a grower can irrigate at a low cost. With the ability to bend any drive unit at a 30-degree angle, a grower can easily wrap a tree line, feed lot or avoid obstacles in the field, allowing for maximum irrigated acres.
The Valley Bender30 will easily retrofit existing center pivots with no structural changes required to the machine, even bending at multiple locations on one machine. With few additional parts, a Valley dealer can retrofit an existing pivot or design a new machine to maximize irrigation potential. Optional water shut-off valves will shut off the sprinklers on the stopped spans while the bend continues to irrigate.

Reinke Offers 10-Year Warranty
Reinke Manufacturing, Inc., recently announced a new 10-year/10,000-hour wheel gearbox warranty on its irrigation systems. The warranty becomes the longest wheel gearbox warranty available throughout the electrically driven, mechanized agricultural irrigation industry.
Reinke dealers are also able to extend the existing warranty on Reinke systems in the field by an additional two years or 2,000 hours with the new Customer Loyalty Extended Warranty Program. Reinke dealers also have a program available to them where they can extend the wheel gearbox warranty on competitive brand machines by an additional two years or 2,000 hours. Interested producers need to see their qualified Reinke dealer for the details of these programs.

Two New Soil Sensors From Veris Technologies
Veris Technologies introduces two new soil sensors, the pH Detector and the Quad EC1000. These compact real-time soil mapping tools are designed for use with ATVs.
The pH Detector rapidly maps pH variability, either on a small grid or at several locations within management zones. The pH probe is inserted in the soil with an easy-push mechanism, and in about 10 seconds, a geo-referenced pH measurement is recorded on the Veris DataLogger. The cost for each sample is pennies, thanks to a durable metalloid pH sensor.
The Quad EC1000 (pictured) is a soil EC mapping system. It features four tine-mounted disks, two for injecting electrical current and two for measuring the voltage drop in the top 30 centimeters of soil. The electrical conductivity of soil is related to its soil texture. Clay is highly conductive. This new system is ideal for developing management zones and variable rate seed population prescriptions.
Both systems are easy-to-use, easy-to-ship and feature many of the same components proven on Veris Technologies on-the-go EC and pH mapping equipment.
